Notable as the first 3 Inches of Blood album to be recorded with no founding members present, Here Waits Thy Doom nevertheless achieves the goals set out by the band's NWOBHM-loving members. That is, guitars that chigger (see "Rock in Hell"), vocals (courtesy of longtime member Cam Pipes) Helloween fans will identify with and towering Maiden-power everywhere. Unfairly tagged as parody metal thanks to their early association with the Darkness, 3 Inches of Blood prove with the triumphant double whammy of "Silent Killer" and "Fierce Defender" that this is no joke
