Breakfast At Tiffany's

Barney Kessel

image
Released: Jan 1961
Label: Rhino/Warner Records
Barney Kessell was the biggest guitarist of the cool jazz era, and since he and his band were staples on Henry Mancini's film soundtracks, he was a natural choice to cut a beatnik version of Mancini's Oscar winning score to the Audrey Hepburn classic. More conservative than most of Kessell's sets, but everyone cuts loose on "The Big Blow Out."
