Biography

Martin is a Bluegrass and country fiddle player whose virtuoso chops earned him sideman positions with artists including Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs and country star Kitty Wells. Martin, a member of the Grand Ole Opry, is a wonderful singer, with a warm baritone voice and a casual, laid-back delivery. Martin is at home with dazzlingly fast Bluegrass as well as country ballads. He is also known for inventing an 8-string violin which used doubled strings in a way similar to that of a mandolin.
