Songs From The Heart

Celtic Woman

image
Released: Jan 2010
Label: Manhattan Records
Part Riverdance, part Phantom of the Opera extension school, Celtic Woman has poured forth golden inspiration from voice (and fiddle) for years. They title this album as if it represented a new direction -- finally, they sing from the heart! -- but prepare yourself for yet another epic effusion that has something to do with Ireland and more to do with that universal human need for swelling strings and songs about faith and hope and belief. It's hard not to like their more traditional moments and surprise song choices like Jimmy Webb's "The Moon's a Harsh Mistress."
