His uptown '80s electro-funk having finally circled back into fashion, Uncle Charlie makes an album Bruno Mars or Chromeo wish they could, teasing us with classic Gap Band grooves in "Somebody Loves You," "Sugar.Honey.Ice.Tea" and the Jam/Lewis-produced, bomb-dropping "Things You Do." Shaggy and Snoop Dogg add bits of reggae and rap for variety. But mostly Wilson aims to be the cutest 62-year-old ladies' man in town, comparing a love interest to mama's potato salad in "Just Like Summertime" and braving "sugar sweet honey bunny" "shimmy shimmy ko-ko bop" doo-wop bubblegum in "Goodnight Kisses."
