The fact that these songs even exist is amazing. Remastered from homemade recordings made sometime between the turn of the twentieth century and the 1940s, Haley played the fiddle with a pioneering fire, with a country-inflected, pre-Bluegrass style that influenced many artists by word of mouth, if not by commercial recordings.
