Much More Than Much Love

Finley Quaye

image
Released: Mar 2004
Label: Epic
The voice is unmistakably Quaye's, but opener "Something to Say" makes his New Phase immediately clear. The reggae and trip-hop inflections of past LPs are gone, replaced with a much sunnier approach. The dreamy "Dice" features Beth Orton and William Orbit, while "Lovers Return" is a lovely cover of a Carter Family track.
