Outside Looking In: The Best Of The Gin Blossoms

Gin Blossoms

image
Released: Jan 1999
Label: A&M
For one brief, shining moment in the early '90s, a jangle-pop revival lurked on the horizon, but the shocking success of grunge sent many bands running for the hills. The Gin Blossoms stood their ground for two solid albums, but with the demise of singer Doug Hopkins and the steamroller-like momentum of grunge, the band packed it in. Still, gems such as "Found Out About You," "Hey Jealousy" and "Follow You Down" sound as spirited today as they did back in the early '90s.
