Kansas eccentric Niemann bookends 2012's most adventurous Nashville album with statements of purpose: the title cut a dumb-joking slacker rap owing Beck's old trailer park, "Fraction of a Man" a gospel-harmonized ramble that says eagles need right and left wings. Both employ Dixieland horns country has avoided since its minstrel era, as does woozy riverboater "Honky Tonk Fever." Otherwise, this is a grooving mix of yacht-rock mellow gold, beach-bar bawdiness and ornate overdubbing, with a steamy Colbie Caillat duet and some dark swamp disco ("Guessing Games") that'd make Eddie Rabbit proud
