Jerry Douglas is renowned for his expressive Dobro playing, honed with the likes of Alison Krauss & Union Station, Elvis Costello, Paul Simon, Garth Brooks, The Chieftains and many more. On Traveler, Eric Clapton, Mumford & Sons, Keb’ Mo’ and more return the favor as lead vocalists; there’s plenty to like here, including the bluesy “High Blood Pressure,” the blue-eyed-soul-kissed “Something You Got,” the meaty instrumental “So Here We Are” and the airy “Frozen Fields.” Douglas himself sings on the Leadbelly track “On a Monday,” and sounds pretty damn good!
