Skynyrd's Innyrds

Lynyrd Skynyrd

Released: Apr 1989
Label: Geffen
It's a shame someone would crave just the hits, but if that's your thing, then Skynyrd's Innyrds is the album for you. This quintuple-platinum monster sports 13 stone-cold classics, including "Sweet Home Alabama," "Saturday Night Special," "Gimme Three Steps" and "That Smell." Of course, a lot of these tunes carry some serious cultural baggage: Play "Free Bird," dude! But who cares?! Skynyrd made outstanding rock music. The array of guitar sounds the group worked with is mind-blowing.
