Nelly

Released: Nov 2010
Label: Motown
5.0 represents a comeback for Nelly, whose previous album, Brass Knuckles, sold poorly. It yielded an early Top 10 hit in "Just a Dream," and he doubles down on its success by recruiting dozens of R&B and rap stars like Kelly Rowland, who recalls their "Dilemma" duet from years back with "Gone." 5.0 is an hour-long celebration of stripper girlfriends, nightclub parties and making amateur sex movies, intended to please the pop masses. But even the discerning rap fan will enjoy the cheesy pleasures of "She's So Fly," where T.I. and Nelly admire "a girl like eye candy/ I can't stop staring."
