Congratulations! Choosing this fine album indicates that you have good taste in music. Nick Drake's debut long player was recorded by Joe Boyd in 1969 (do yourself a favor and read Boyd's White Bicycles), but failed to reach the commercial success it unarguably deserved. With Robert Kirby's string arrangements, Richard Thompson's electric guitar parts and Drake's mysterious acoustic tunings and subtly melancholic voice, songs like the flowing "River Man" and "Way To Blue" are excellent soundtracks for making babies to. The beautiful and demure "Time Has Told Me" could be his best love song.
