With producer Stuart Price (Jacques Lu Cont) sitting shotgun, Pet Shop Boys' Electric ain't no Prius -- more like a platinum-plated DeLorean blasting "Axel F" as they go cruising down the Autobahn. (Heck, "The Last to Die" even begins with a road-trip.) Along the way, they touch upon Italo-disco, Hi-NRG, piano house, electro-funk and the campiest, most bedazzled trance imaginable ("Vocal"). It's all unmistakably Pet Shop Boys: arch, impeccably cool and seductive as anything.
