Queens Of The Stone Age

Released: Jun 2013
Label: Matador
Queens Of The Stone Age have always possessed an art-rock streak, but on ...Like Clockwork it dominates the band's vision. Or more accurately, it dominates Josh Homme's vision, because let's face it: QotSA are him and whomever he allows in the studio (which this time around includes an impressive list of heavies, from Mark Lanegan to Dave Grohl to the one and only Sir Elton). But along with said artiness comes brooding paranoia that seems to have seeped into nearly every one of the album's 10 cuts, especially "The Vampyre of Time and Memory," "I Appear Missing" and "Fairweather Friends."
