The Definitive Collection

Stevie Wonder

image
Released: Oct 2002
Label: Motown
You'd need a much larger collection of songs than the 21 presented here in order to truly represent Stevie Wonder's growth as a musician, but this has a good majority of the hits. It's truly incredible to listen to Wonder mature on these early tracks as he progresses from the Motown pop of "Uptight (Everything's Alright)" to the dense, intelligent funk of "Higher Ground."
