Broadway traditionalists, fair warning: This is not an original cast recording of the current stage adaptation. Instead, this is a cross-promotional pop compilation, in which mega-stars lend their pipes to the musical's notable numbers. Think Elton John's overt pop moves into the Great White Way, and you've got the right idea. Kiesza and Christina Aguilera deliver pointedly solemn ballads, Gary Barlow rocks out a bit in a decent Warren Zevon-styled knockoff, and Jon Bon Jovi rasps and croons his way through "Beautiful Day." Surprise highlight: Nick Jonas on baroquely Beatles-ish "Believe."
