This is the stoner/doom/psyche metal band's debut, released in 2005, when they were still a trio. Seven thuddingly paced tracks populate a zone somewhere between rock and metal that's similar to the way people made music when they were still trying to figure out what doom metal was (think the post-Sabbath explorations of Pentagram's early demos and, even before that, confused Canadians Warpig). Psyche-folk band Feathers singer Kyle Thomas adds perfectly echoed vocals and well-placed melodies amid the bashing. "Black Saint" has a killer beginning, and "Seer" serves as the band's manifesto.
