This is an all-encompassing category for music associated with Ireland and the British Isles; loosely-based on the traditional music of ancient Celtic tribes. Different instrumental and vocal offshoots crop up in Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Breton, Galicia, and also among emigrants in England and the United States.
