Energy God - The Very Best Of Elephant Man

Elephant Man

image
Released: Feb 2009
Label: VP Records
Although Elephant Man has been a solo artist for less than a decade (he got his start as a member of Scare Dem Crew), a greatest hits package for the American market makes a lot of sense. The DJ's charismatic fusion of dancehall and hip-hop has earned him collaborations with Mariah Carey, Busta Rhymes and Lil Jon -- this despite criticism from the gay community regarding lyrics that appeared in several of his earlier hits. That said, if you dig the sounds of modern Jamaica, Energy God is for you.
