Despite reaching her 40s as an "adult R&B" veteran, Faith Evans is still interested in new sounds, as this entertaining grab bag proves. She collaborates with LA rapper Problem on "Good Time," makes a "summer jam" with Missy Elliott on "I Deserve It," and spits a little rhyme herself on "Thank You's." She rocks a hard disco-funk beat on the title track, and "Fragile" sports a rhythm like The Mamas and The Papas' "California Dreamin'." Evans' performance may be better than the songwriting, but overall this is effervescent soul that proves she's still an artistic force to reckon with.
