Nikki Lane's retro-leaning alt-country is so old it's new again. Produced by Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach, All or Nothin' is a dark, twanging homage to having a good time. On opener "Right Time," Lane coos, "If you're looking for a good time/ You and me'll get on just fine/ It's always the right time/ To do the wrong thing," over vintage guitars and garage-y beats. It's down and dirty, and oh so enticing. Highlights include waltzing break-up ballad "Out of My Mind" (co-written with Spiritualized's J. Spaceman), her duet with Auerbach, "Love's on Fire," and the gritty, "Sleep With a Stranger."
