World Boogie Is Coming is messy, outrageous, funky and (best of all) fun -- which is exactly the kind of album we need from North Mississippi Allstars. After Keys to the Kingdom -- a heartfelt tribute to their father, as well as the best record of their career -- the Dickinson bros get back to the business of melting hill country blues into rock 'n' roll into hip-hop into Harry Smith's Anthology of American Folk Music. In revivalist hands such a sweeping, pan-genre mix would sound awful. Fortunately, the Allstars are born and raised Southerners who know what they're doing.
