Everything I Should Have Said

Radney Foster

image
Released: May 2014
Label: Devil's River Records
Five years in the making, Everything I Should Have Said finds Radney Foster in a loose, comfortable place, tackling subjects from writer's block ("Whose Heart You Wreck (Ode to the Muse)") to the self-reflective nature of love and relationships ("Holding Back") to the remorse for things left unsaid ("Everything I Should Have Said") or done ("Talking Myself out of Falling"). But it's not all serious business: "Unh Unh Unh" is an upbeat song about the more playful (read: carnal) aspects of love, and is the album's most whimsical moment on this very personal effort.
