Rockin' the Beer Gut (Holla Day Version) (Single)

Oct 2018

Biography

Fate played heavily in the formation of Trailer Choir. When Big Vinny (Vincent Hickerson) made the move to Nashville, he found himself renting an apartment next door to Butter (Marc Fortney). The two discovered their mutual love for music and began swapping songs. Eventually, they formed a musical partnership and Big Vinny joined Butter's band at numerous frat-house gigs. A recurring face at many of their shows was that of Crystal Hoyt, who, as a fan, jumped up to sing with the boys one day. She was soon invited along whenever there was a show. And just four shows later, Toby Keith spotted them. He signed them to his Show Dog record label and took them on the road with him. Shortly after, Trailer Choir recorded "Off the Hillbilly Hook" for Keith's movie Beer for My Horses. In 2009, the group charted with singles "What Would You Say" and "Rockin' the Beer Gut" before releasing its debut album, Tailgate, in 2010.
