Rapcore

Following early rap and metal crossovers from rappers like the Beastie Boys, Public Enemy and Run-D.M.C. and metal acts like Aerosmith and Anthrax, Rapcore artists combine crushing metal riffs with energetic rapping. Rapcore bands usually use a standard rock band lineup with a drum kit and emphasize the low-end with funk basslines. As with rap, the lyrical content is polarized between the highly politicized and party music antics.
